How it works, in three steps
Tell it what the song should feel like.
A few quick questions: what the track is for, what worries you about it, what gear and room you have, and how long you’ve been at this. About two minutes.
Drop in a bounce. It’s measured on your computer.
Loudness, peaks, dynamics, tonal balance, stereo width, low end, noise and silence. The audio file stays on your machine. Only the measurements, and the notes you choose to share, go to the AI model.
Get at most three things to try.
In priority order, free fixes before purchases, each with the reason and a way to check it worked. You decide what to keep.

Mastertake runs in your browser and installs to your phone’s home screen. It’s free to use today.
- Mix Check: drop in a bounce and it’s measured on your own device. The file is never uploaded.
- A session notebook for each track: what you want it to feel like, your marks, decisions and notes.
- A rack of tools: key and strongest note, tempo, phase alignment of two takes, and mid and side.
For now it shows measurements and what they mean. Suggestions come later, once our rules are reviewed. For adults (18 and over).

Why it exists
A lot of people start making records with no one to ask. They don’t know what to fix first, they buy gear in the wrong order, and they finish tracks they can’t judge. We run a recording studio in Izmir and make music ourselves, and we went through the same thing.
A general chat assistant starts from nothing: it doesn’t know your track, your room or your goals. Mastertake starts from what you want the song to be, reads real measurements, follows a playbook of rules that we write and review, and remembers what you decided last time.
What it can’t do
It can’t hear your track. It reads measurements and what you tell it, says so plainly, and tells you when it isn’t sure. Opinions about taste are labelled as taste.
